Emmanuel Museruka

Emmanuel Museruka plays the roles of a CEO, Creative Director and Photographer at Malaika Media Ltd. He is responsible for all aspects of the company’s strategy, team and operations across Malaika Media’s 3 offices in Uganda, Rwanda and Kenya. Emmanuel leads a team of smart, creative, self driven photographers, cinematographers and creative writers who care a lot more about getting it done. He leads the company in its mission to deliver the best client results in the multi media industry in East Africa.

Over the course of nearly 7 years at Malaika Media, he has undertaken a number of leadership roles on numerous projects.

Based in Kampala, Emmanuel has a long and successful record of helping clients with media strategy and other general challenges. He has particular depth working with significant clients across Not for profits, multi National companies, International Organisations, but draws upon a variety of cross-industry experience as well.

Prior to co-founding Malaika Media, Emmanuel worked as a project manager for caring companions a project under Hospice Africa Uganda as well as an Occupational therapist. He worked as a volunteer photographer and founder of The Lens Foundation a not for profit he started in Uganda.

Emmanuel received his Bachelors degree in Mass Comunication from Makerere University and a Diploma in Occupational Therapy from the Mulago Paramedical Schools

Blessing Byamugisha

Blessing Byamugisha

As Creative Strategist, script writer and voice over artist at Malaika Media Uganda, Blessing is one of the leaders in laying media strategies . She is recognized for her expertise in the implementation of change within the company.

 Education

Blessing joined Malaika Media in 2015, after graduating from Nkumba University. She earned her BA in Public Administration and Management with high distinction.

Diversity of experiences

Prior to joining Malaika Media, Blessing  served as a Project coordinator at CEDA International, as well as as a writer, News Reporter and News Anchor at Record TV Network.  She also plays an active role in reporting on environment.

Passions & Hobbies

Fashion, Sport Rugby in particular, Interior Design, Good Food

Kizito Mudabo

Project Coordinator | Videographer | Editor

Kizito Mudambo

Kizito  is a leader at Malaika Media where he overlooks projects advises clients. He is a videographer as well as a video editor.

In his current role as a video editor, Kizito oversees  operations in in our day today productions and working closely with projects like Jump by Vodafone. In addition to his project management roles, he previously held several firm leadership roles including Assistant Project Coordinator.

Kizito earned his BA from Makerere University with high distinction in Mass communication. He is a graduate of Mulago Paramedical School, where he received a Diploma in Occupational therapy

Passions & Hobbies

Travelling, watching movies, Good Food (Cooking and Eating!)

Favourite part of the job

The unknown, when I start a project, I don’t know what I will be doing, it is open to lots of possibilities. I really enjoy being able to help clients find what they’re looking for. When that works, it’s really satisfying!

Jjumba Martin

Jjumba Martin

Martin is a self taught photographer with great skill in documentary  and corporate Photography. He is Photo editor, with over Six years of experience in Photography, he’s indispensable to the operations of Malaika Media. He’s a skilled technician, but he’s also an artist – someone who can deftly convey what his clients want to see on the screen in a way that pulls the viewer right in to the story.

Martin is a holder of BA from Makerere University with Procurement and Supply.

Michael Kibunga

Videographer

Michael Kibunga

Michael has worked on Malaika Media projects as a camera operator and audio technician. He is also an accomplished editor. He was introduced to production when he was eighteen years old, using his parent’s camera to make short movies. Since then, he has advanced to work on numerous productions for national televisions such as NTV including reality and BBS.

Rhona is the Finance and Admin, at Malaika Media. She is responsible for the day today running of our office and Finances .

She has more than 10 years of finance experience and she just does it well

Abraham Muwanguzi

In his current role as a fixer, Abraham is an accomplished team player and does everything with love. In addition to his fixer roles, he does sound and lighting.

Working in a team delivering solutions to video problems, and learning from the experience of others whilst sharing the knowledge I have too
